- Comply with legal obligations — including tax reporting, fraud prevention, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not use your data to:

Service providers

- Cloudflare — site hosting, DDoS protection, and basic analytics. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Email service provider — for newsletter delivery (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or ConvertKit). Each provider has its own privacy policy you can consult.
- WhatsApp Business — for customer communication. Governed by Meta's WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
Legal obligations
We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or valid government request, or when necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
Business transfers
If OYA Studio LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users by email and on the Site.
How long we keep your data
We retain your data only as long as necessary:
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, or for up to 24 months of inactivity.
- Purchase records: retained for 7 years to comply with US tax and accounting laws.
- Service engagement data: retained for 5 years after engagement completion, then deleted unless legally required to keep longer.
- Contact form submissions: retained for up to 2 years for follow-up reference.
- Recipe-cost data (if shared during service engagements): deleted 90 days after handoff.
- Analytics data: aggregated and anonymized after 12 months.

How we protect your data
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS encryption across the entire site.
- Payment processing isolated to Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant).
- Access controls limiting who on our team can view customer data.

No system is 100% secure. If a data breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
